Wilkinson Star recently hosted a Distributor Open Day to launch its new Wardley Cross Facility.
The new 20,000 ft2 building is situated opposite the company’s main 55,000 ft2 headquarters in Manchester. It boasts a new state-of-the-art showroom, modern meeting facilities, marketing and design centre and additional warehousing.
Over 100 guests joined the celebrations as the company also used the occasion to launch the new Jasic Evo range of equipment. Managing Director, Tina Wilkinson-Bell, welcomed guests to the event and introduced her Farther, Dr John Wilkinson, who spoke with heartfelt pride about the history and success of the company since he founded the business in 1972.
He went on to unveil the official plaque and open the showroom to the awe of customers and suppliers alike. Full factory tours were conducted, taking in the Wilkinson Training Academy, the Jasic technology Centre and modern service centre. Also tours of the Fiac compressor production area took place as well as product seminars on Mosa welders/generators, Starparts torches and consumables, F-Tech fume equipment, Weld Star wires and electrodes and Weltek air fed systems.
The new Weld Star Max Photonics Laser was also demonstrated within the Kyrus Laser Cell Enclosure of which the company is pleased to report very encouraging sales.
